Standard straightening machine
G+K straightening machines are standard machines used in conveyor systems and are typically positioned ahead of the pressing process. The most common types are 9-roll straightening machines handling sheet thicknesses from 0.3mm to 0.10mm. Typically, the straightening machine and the straightening seat run on equal roll diameters. Standard machines have roll diameters of 32mm, 53mm, 80mm, 90mm or 120mm in order to be able to handle respective material thicknesses. It may be necessary, however, to design machinery allowing for an additional cassette changing system.
In general straightening machines are equipped with frequency drives. In smaller machines the straightening seat is adjusted manually, or – to a lesser extent – under motor power. In large machines hydraulic adjustment features prevail. For cleaning purposes the machines can be opened by a quick adjustment control for the straightening seat. Hydraulic opening mechanisms for ventilation purposes are also available. Threading devices and roll feeders support the insertion of heavy materials which otherwise cannot be manually inserted or would endanger the operator’s safety. G+K straightening machines are equipped with precision rolls, some of which are structurally stabilized in a multiple way. Over time, our standard machines extended into a wide range of application areas. G+K’s standard straightening machine is a most popular machine particularly characterized by its durability and reliability.
