C-frame presses

C-frame presses distinguish themselves by their excellent accessibility of the press table from three sides.

Application areas

C-frame presses are used for punching, bending, punch drawing, forming, pressing, embossing, straightening, roll drafting, joining, deburring and much more.  Easy access to the press table allows for working with large or bulky work pieces.

While these presses allow for manual feed, G+K mostly equips their double-side presses with automation features for large scale serial production applications. Additional functions such as die cushion, ejector, and side shift can be added as required.

G+K special feature

G+K’s C-frame presses consist of a massive welded steel construction, which is annealed first, and then finished precisely. C-frame presses are offered in two slide gibbing variants. The classic cylindrical column gib with a core anti- rotation lock against twisting, or, alternatively, a flat linear guide along the press wall with four tool carriages on the slide.
Though C-frame presses in general are somewhat less favorable due to their asymmetrical construction design, the rugged construction of G+K presses ensures dynamic bending compensation.
